Piero Scaruffi reviews Careful →
The prolific Piero Scaruffi has taken the time to write up ‘Oh, Light’: The whispered vocals are only half of the show, though. The arrangements may be unassuming, but they play a big role in altering what would otherwise be a straightforward meaning. Scaruffi’s story is quite interesting. Take a gander.

Careful Chosen as a NYC Artist on the Rise at Deli... →
His tunes, tied together by a soft, whispered approach and by attention to texture, mix more or less traditional songwriting with sparse and dreamy electronic effects, often slightly dissonant, but always tastefully realized.

'Oh, Light' Reviewed at the Jackson Hole Weekly →

Oh, Light reviewed on Dusted →
The reviews are still trickling in: Careful’s second album, Oh, Light, could hardly be more intimate. And yet there’s a fantastic oddity in these folk-centered, jazz-infused, songs, the best sort of self-recorded eccentricity. These are skeletal songs, yet twisted subtly into fantastical, gothic shapes. […] Even so, these songs are fundamentally human. They are vulnerable,...
